Law enforcement casualties in 1994
In 1994, Peruvian law enforcement forces registered 67 fatalities (52 from the Armed Forces and 15 from the Police Forces) caused by subversive groups, representing 4.0% of the total number of law enforcement casualties during the internal armed conflict.

Of these casualties, 52 corresponded to the Armed Forces and 15 to the Police Forces. This year is in the period of significant decline in casualties that began after the capture of Abimael Guzmán and the main leaders of the subversive organizations in 1992-1993. The casualties were caused by subversive groups in the context of the fight against armed subversion.
