The PCP-SL assassinates the mayor of the district of Pomacanchi, Acomayo, Cuzco, Julián Choque Mamani, and the governor of the locality of Mosoqllacta, Acomayo, Cuzco, Antonio Condori Galloso. These murders are part of Sendero's campaign against local authorities.
