Police capture direct perpetrators of Colonel Tumba Ortega's assassination and seize operation plan
On June 16, 1993, the police captured several people from the PCP-SL, among them Félix García Quispe (31) alias 'Pedro', who was seized subversive documentation including the tactical operational plan (POT) of the attack against Colonel Manuel Tumba Ortega, and Cesar Gerardo Salinas Galarza (25) alias 'Jeremias', who confessed to having been one of the direct attackers. They were identified as members of the Special Detachment of the Southern Zone of the Metropolitan Regional Committee of the PCP-SL.
