CCD plenary approves report determining unjust detention and abuse of law in San Ignacio case

The plenary of the Democratic Constituent Congress unanimously approved the conclusions of the report of the Human Rights and Pacification Commission on the San Ignacio case. The conclusions determined that the facts did not involve the crime of terrorism, that the existence of torture could not be definitively ruled out, and that there had been unjust detention by abusive application of the law in force. In addition, they pronounced themselves in favor of a comprehensive revision of the legislation on terrorism.
