A declarant was detained in the district of Miraflores on February 16, 1993 and later transferred to the premises of the DINCOTE (National Directorate against Terrorism). The acts of sexual violence and torture occurred in the DINCOTE facilities after her transfer. This case is part of the systematic pattern of arbitrary detentions and sexual violence documented during the internal armed conflict in Peru.
