Rape and execution of girl for refusing to join PCP-SL

Girl was raped and executed by Sendero Luminoso for refusing to join Previsto.

On February 12, 1993, in the village of Previsto, the body of a girl was found decomposing, with her clothes torn to shreds and signs of having been raped and tortured. The girl had been murdered by members of the PCP-SL as punishment for having refused to participate with the subversive organization. This case exemplifies the use of rape and murder as a method of punishment against those who refused to join the Shining Path.
