CCD commissioned to investigate arbitrary detentions in San Ignacio

The plenary of the Democratic Constituent Congress charged the Human Rights and Pacification Commission with investigating the arbitrary detentions and human rights violations that occurred on June 27, 1992 in the district of San Ignacio. To investigate the case, five congressmen traveled to Chiclayo, holding interviews with judicial and police authorities, with the detainees, and gathering copies of police and judicial records.
