53 reports of detentions resulted in 178 missing persons in Huanuco, attributed to the military
In 1993, there were 53 reports of detentions in the department of Huánuco, as a result of which 178 people are missing. The military authorities were identified as the main perpetrators of these detentions-disappearances. According to the Public Prosecutor's Office, this figure was lower in urban areas but not in rural areas located in Inti, Venenillo, Sachavaca, Tingo María and other communities of Leoncio Prado.
