Army special forces detain and torture union teacher in Canchaque, Piura
The declarant was detained by special forces of the Army. The military asked him about a person and took out a list of teachers who were union leaders. They told him that if he was a leader, then he was a terrorist. Since they found his degree from La Cantuta University, they said that was why he was a terrorist. The case is evidence of the systematic persecution against professors and union leaders.
