Murder of Rosa del Aguila García
Rosa del Aguila Garcia, president of the Mothers' Central Committee of the Amarilis District (Tingo Maria), was allegedly assassinated by the PCP-SL in 1993. Her death caused the deactivation of the Central Mothers' Club and other organizations in Huánuco.
Rosa del Aguila Garcia, president of the Mothers' Central Committee of the Amarilis District in Tingo Maria, was allegedly murdered by members of the PCP-SL in 1993. According to her son Jose Soto del Aguila, her death led to the deactivation of the Central Committee of the Mothers' Club, as well as other organizations in Huanuco. This assassination was part of the PCP-SL's offensive against the leaders of popular women's organizations throughout the country. Rosa del Aguila was one of the many leaders of welfare organizations that were attacked during the internal armed conflict.
