Manuel Tumba Ortega's murder suspects arrested
DINCOTE captures three PCP-SL members for murder of Colonel Tumba Ortega
On November 7, 1992, DINCOTE captured three people related to the assassination of PNP Colonel Manuel Tumba Ortega: Manuel Campos Huamán (27) alias "Claudio", Sergio Ramos Gonzáles (21) alias "Dante", and Eduardo Martín Sarazu Dávila (28). They were recognized by witnesses as participants in the attack. The Police concluded that they belonged to a special detachment of the People's Relief Defense Department of the PCP-SL. The detainees were transferred to the Special Military Court of the Peruvian Navy to be tried for the crime of treason.
