Murders in Inchupalla

On July 29, 1992, a PCP-SL detachment killed five people in the district of Inchupalla, Huancané, including the secretary of the district council, the lieutenant governor, the justice of the peace, a woman and her youngest son.

On Sunday, July 29, 1992, a detachment of the PCP-SL raided the district of Inchupalla, province of Huancané, where they murdered five people. The victims were Pedro Pascual Vilca Canaza, secretary of the Inchupalla district council; Santiago Chuquija Ingalla, Lieutenant Governor; Artemio Sancho Sancho Sancho, District Justice of the Peace; María Flora Montesisnos Lipe; and her youngest son René Morales Montesinos. This attack was part of the campaign of selective annihilations that the PCP-SL carried out against local authorities in the department of Puno during that period.
