Arrest of Carlos Rios Fernandez

Carlos Ríos Fernández, head of the section of Workers, Neighborhoods and Workers (OBT) and member of the leadership cell of Socorro Popular of the PCP-SL, was arrested by the Peruvian Navy. Ríos Fernández was the political commander of the entire OBT and his capture took place in the Bocanegra human settlement, located in Callao. This arrest was part of the intelligence operations carried out by the forces of law and order against the structure of the Communist Party of Peru - Shining Path in the Northern Zone of Metropolitan Lima. His capture was significant given his leadership role in the subversive organization in the working class and neighborhood sectors.
