La Cantuta Massacre - Kidnapping and murder of students and teacher

Colina Group kidnaps and murders 9 students and 1 professor at La Cantuta in the early morning of July 18, 1992

In the early morning of July 18, 1992, nine students (Juan Gabriel Mariño, Bertila Lozano Torres, Dora Oyague Fierro, Robert Teodoro Espinoza, Marcelino Rosales Cárdenas, Felipe Flores Chipana, Luis Enrique Ortiz Perea, Armando Amaro Cóndor and Heráclides Pablo Meza) and professor Hugo Muñoz Sánchez, were kidnapped from the University Housing and subsequently murdered by members of the Army Intelligence Service led by members of the Army Intelligence Service, Armando Amaro Condor and Heraclides Pablo Meza) and professor Hugo Muñoz Sanchez, were kidnapped from the University Housing and later murdered by members of the Army Intelligence Service led by Major EP Santiago Martin Rivas, leader of the so-called Colina Group. Subsequent investigations showed that the abductees had been followed by intelligence personnel. According to Report 140 Dinto-Dincote, at least Bertila Lozano was constantly followed.
