Police arbitrarily detain 10 San Ignacio forest defenders on terrorism charges
The day after the attack against INCAFOR, police officers arbitrarily detained ten residents of San Ignacio: Wigberto Vásquez Vásquez, Plácido Alvarado Campos, Víctor Morales Labán, Crisanto Velásquez Flores, Guillermo Granda Rodríguez, Guillermo Oyola Cornejo, Javier García Huamán, Benjamín García Huamán, Daniel Cruz Bautista and Samuel Huamán Huamán. Several of them were members of the Comité de Defensa de los Bosques. They were falsely accused of being terrorists and perpetrators of the attack and were taken to the Provincial Headquarters of the PNP where they were tortured.
