The paramilitary group "Colina" murdered 5 members of the Ventocilla Castillo family in the Huaura valley on June 24, 1992, accusing them of supporting Shining Path groups.

On June 24, 1992, the paramilitary group "Colina" murdered five members of the Ventocilla Castillo family in the countryside of the Huaura valley. The victims were accused of providing support to itinerant Shining Path groups. This murder was one of the most notorious crimes committed in the coastal area during the internal armed conflict. The crime is presumed to have been committed by the "Colina" group, known for its paramilitary operations during that period.
