Intern María Villegas dies of sepsis after being shot 8 times in Castro Castro operation
María Pupetela Villegas Regalado, one of the first inmates wounded in the May 6 operation, died of septicemia on May 11, 1992 at the Central Police Health Hospital. The Necropsy Protocol No. 2077-92 indicates that her body had 8 bullet wounds, all in the upper part, as a result of a blast.
