Juan Bardales Rengifo is the first fatality of the operation in Castro Castro
At 8:30 in the morning of May 6, 1992, Juan Bardales Rengifo became the first victim of the Castro Castro operation when he was shot while struggling with a policeman near the gate of the lookout point. The inmate died as a result of the shot.
