Death of Yovanka Pardavé and Tito Valle in Operation Mudanza I
Two Shining Path militants were killed during a police operation in Castro Castro prison.
During the police operation 'Mudanza I', whose objective was to transfer all the inmates from Castro Castro prison to Santa Monica prison, Yovanka Pardavé Trujillo and Tito Valle Travesaño, who had been imprisoned since July 1991, lost their lives. Both had been identified as Shining Path PCP militants linked to the murder of César López Silva.
