Disappearance of Santa Santa peasants by Colina Detachment
The Colina Detachment kidnapped 9 peasants from Santa, who remain missing to this day.
In the first minutes of the day, several individuals carrying military weapons, among them a woman, raided different homes in the human settlements. Approximately 18 members of the Colina Detachment, under the command of Major EP Santiago Martin Rivas, kidnapped nine peasants who were brutally beaten and forced to get into several pick-up vehicles. The kidnappers wore black sweaters, olive green pants and covered their faces with balaclavas. They acted with extreme violence, threatening family members and painting with Shining Path slogans before leaving. The victims are still missing.
