Dismissal of 133 magistrates in Lima and Callao

Decree Law No. 25446 was enacted, dismissing 133 magistrates of the Judicial Districts of Lima and Callao, including 33 Justices of the Superior Courts of Lima, 8 of Callao, 6 Superior Prosecutors of Lima, 47 Judges of Lima, 29 of Callao and 10 Juvenile Judges of Lima. It also ordered the creation of an Evaluation Commission of the Judiciary. A significant number of them were reinstated in 2001, i.e. 9 years later.
