Fujimori rules as dictatorship for 9 months after coup d'état

The Executive headed by Fujimori ruled by himself and before himself, like absolute monarchs, for 9 months, from April 1992 to January 1993. Having dissolved the Legislative Power and destroyed the autonomy of the Judicial Power, he left the Constitution without effect and produced new legislation by 'decree-laws'. This is what is strictly speaking called a sovereign or constituent dictatorship. International pressure forced Fujimori to end this dictatorial period much sooner than he had planned.
