Ronderos from Andamarca kidnapped Irma Juscamayta Arteaga and her five daughters on March 2, 1992, accusing her of sympathizing with the PCP-SL.

On March 2, 1992, ronderos from the community of Andamarca, located in the department of Junin, kidnapped Irma Juscamayta Arteaga along with her five daughters. The ronderos justified the kidnapping on the grounds that Irma Juscamayta sympathized with the Communist Party of Peru - Shining Path (PCP-SL). This event occurred in a context of intensifying political violence in the country, where the peasant patrols participated in self-defense actions against subversion.
