PCP-SL assassinates Luis Pomasunco Constanza, leader who implemented urban patrols in El Agustino
On January 5, 1992, Luis Pomasunco Constanza, a neighborhood leader who implemented the urban patrols in the Asentamiento Humano 7 de Octubre in El Agustino, was assassinated by subversives of the PCP-Sendero Luminoso. His murder was in retaliation for having organized urban patrols to confront the presence of the PCP-SL in the area, which the PCP-SL considered a threat to their territorial control.
