Second extraordinary legislature
Second extraordinary legislature of the Congress in January 1992 to review bills that had been observed by President Fujimori. Twenty-eight bills modifying or repealing legislative decrees of the Executive on national pacification were approved.
The Congress convened a second extraordinary legislature to examine the bills that President Alberto Fujimori had observed. On January 27, the Senate approved by majority a bill repealing twelve legislative decrees on national pacification enacted by the Executive Branch and presented others of a democratic nature. The Chamber of Deputies approved bills modifying legislative decrees 726 and 743 on the entry of law enforcement forces into university premises and civilian participation in the National Defense System. During this self-convened extraordinary legislature, 28 bills were approved modifying or repealing the legislative decrees of the Executive, particularly those referring to national pacification.
