Three women were arbitrarily detained in 1992 in the department of Junín and subsequently victims of forced disappearance. Shortly after their disappearance, their bodies were found with signs of having been tortured. One of them was four months pregnant and her body was found 15 days later with torture and multiple bullet wounds. According to statements by a witness detained at the 9 de Diciembre barracks, the three women were held there along with other detainees and were subjected to sexual violence, including being forced to have sex with each other in front of the military. The military mocked them while they were naked and forced them to imitate pornographic acts.
