Murder of 6 people in Caraqueño

In 1992, a paramilitary group murdered six people in Caraqueño, Barranca, including a teacher, three peasants, a student and a driver. The population attributed these crimes to paramilitary groups or the Colina Group.

In 1992, in the town of Caraqueño, Barranca province, a paramilitary group murdered six people. The victims were identified as Ernesto Arias Velásquez (teacher), César Rodríguez Esquivel (farmer), Felandro Castillo Manrique (farmer), John Calderón Ríos (student), Toribio Aponte Ortiz (farmer) and Pedro Agüero Rivera (driver). The report states that this group was labeled as paramilitary by the population. This event occurred in the context of selective murders that the population assigns to "paramilitary groups" or to the "Colina Group", although the perpetrators were not officially identified.
