Dynamite bombings in Huaura
Series of dynamite attacks by the PCP-SL against the Banco de Materiales, Banco de la Nación and the Garita de Control in Huaura in 1992, resulting in the death of policeman Osvaldo Alvarado Solís.
In 1992, Shining Path militants carried out a series of bomb attacks against state and financial institutions in the district of Huaura. The attacks were directed against the premises of the Banco de Materiales, Banco de la Nación and the Garita de Control of the Huaura District. Police officer Osvaldo Alvarado Solís was killed in the attack against the checkpoint. These attacks were part of the PCP-SL strategy of concentrating actions in the coastal provinces since 1992, the year of Abimael Guzman's capture.
