Promulgation of Legislative Decree 749
Legislative Decree 749 expands powers of Political-Military Commandos in emergency zones
On November 12, 1991, Legislative Decree No. 749 was published, extending the powers conferred by Law 24150. This Decree no longer established the coordination but the direction by the Political-Military Chief of all government actions at all levels and granted him the disposition of economic, logistical and personnel resources. The Political-Military Command began to lead the Development actions in the areas under its jurisdiction.
