Mobilization in repudiation of the attacks
Mobilization called by the Municipality of San Juan de Lurigancho on October 27, 1991 in repudiation of the PCP-SL attacks, particularly after the assassination of two leaders of the Juan Pablo II human settlement.
On October 27, 1991 there was a mobilization to repudiate the attacks called by the Municipality of San Juan de Lurigancho. This mobilization took place after the assassinations of the general sub-secretary Fortunato Collazos Crispín and the press and propaganda secretary Alfredo Aguirre Berrocal, which occurred on September 14, 1991 in the Juan Pablo II human settlement, on the eve of the settlement's anniversary. As a result of these murders, the settlement was considered a 'red zone' and a military base was installed in the communal premises, which was removed two years later.
