On October 12, 1991, unknown persons assassinated student Antonio Huacache Chávez in the city of Huamanga. This murder occurred in the context of a series of operations by groups linked to the military intelligence services against members of the UNSCH university community. The crime took place a few days after the murder of university professor Francisco Solier García and his family, and the lifeless appearance of students Mariscote Santa Cruz and Leoncio Espinoza. A week after the murder of Huacache Chavez, on October 19, another student, Camilo Fernandez Flores of the Faculty of Education, was murdered.
