Murder of Rosa Pretell on September 4, 1991

On September 4, 1991, Rosa Pretell, supervisor of the UNE women's boarding school, was murdered. The crime was claimed by the PCP-SL, alleging that Rosa Pretell collaborated by providing information about the inmates to the Army. The students who knew her directly said that she was a snitch and that she gave information to the Armed Forces so that they would arrest several students. The PCP-SL denounced the snitching attitude of the boarding school supervisor.
