Murders of Polish priests in Pariacoto

Polish Franciscan priests Zbigniew Strazalkowski (32 years old) and Michel Tomasek (34 years old) were taken by a column of the Shining Path from the parish house of Pariacoto after Mass. They were taken to the Pueblo Viejo, next to the cemetery, where they killed Father Miguel with a shot in the back of the head and Father Zbigniew with two shots. The mayors of Pariacoto and Cochabamba were also murdered. Both priests had arrived in the country a year and a half before.
