Murder of Francisco Solier Garcia and family

Undercover operation by paramilitaries or law enforcement agents who murdered university professor Francisco Solier García together with his wife and son at their home, using weapons with silencers.

On July 19, 1991, paramilitaries or law enforcement agents in civilian clothes carried out a covert operation at the home of university professor Francisco Solier García. The professor was murdered along with his wife and son using weapons with silencers. This crime was part of a series of murders perpetrated against people linked to the San Cristobal de Huamanga National University during 1991. The attack occurred in a context of intense violence in the city of Huamanga, where both paramilitary groups and the Shining Path PCP carried out selective assassinations against members of the university community.
