Peace Council Act
In July 1991, the Peruvian government enacted the Peace Council Law, regulating the operation of this body, created in June and composed of the country's active forces.
The government issues the Peace Council law which regulates the functioning of this body created in June and composed "by the living forces of the country". This law establishes the legal framework for the operation of the Peace Council, an entity that had been created the previous month with the objective of addressing issues related to national pacification. The Council was made up of representatives of various sectors of Peruvian society.
