Relaunch of the Minute Agreement by Delgado Parker

Relaunch of the Minute Agreement to limit television coverage of terrorism to one minute per news item

At the end of June 1991, Genaro Delgado Parker and ARTV relaunched the Minute Agreement, in response to Prime Minister Carlos Torres y Torres Lara's call for a multi-party Peace Table. The agreement sought to limit to one minute the duration of news about terrorist acts on television to avoid being used as a sounding board. This measure was controversial and questioned by political programs.
