Assassination of Leovigildo Decio Hernández Celis
Leovigildo Hernández Celis detained, killed and mutilated by the Army in Aucayacu
On June 19, 1991, in Aucayacu, Army troops arrested Leovigildo Decio Hernández Celis at his home at 2 a.m. and took him to the military base. His body was found by family members, burned and without intestines, on the banks of a nearby river.
