Murder of Armando Díaz Hinostroza of Tejidos La Unión
Assassination of the executive of Tejidos La Unión by the PCP-SL.
On June 17, 1991, Armando Díaz Hinostroza, an executive of Tejidos La Unión in charge of serving as an intermediary between the company's management and the 12 unions, was assassinated by the PCP-SL at the factory gate. Diaz had been kidnapped and held hostage on two previous occasions by union members during discussions of the list of demands.
