Detention and death of villagers in Chambara and Humaya

On May 3, 1991, members of the Peruvian Army detained six residents of the communities of Chambara and Humaya (Lima), whose bodies were later found dead on the access road to these communities.

Members of the Peruvian Army entered the communities of Chambara and Humaya in Lima, where they detained six villagers, three from each community. Subsequently, the bodies of the six detainees were found dead on the road leading to these communities. This event occurred in the context of the internal armed conflict and military operations in rural areas of the country.
