Interpellation on anti-drug convention

The Torres y Torres Lara cabinet acquitted in the Chamber of Deputies a 92-question questionnaire on the anti-drug agreement signed between the governments of Peru and the United States. President Alberto Fujimori Fujimori had announced before Congress the policy of fait accompli and the decision not to modify the anti-drug agreement with the United States. This interpellation took place in a context of political tension between the Executive and the Congress, where the government had signed the agreement and presented it as an irreversible decision before the Parliament.
