Attempted looting of soft drink truck
The PCP-SL attempted to incite the population of Villa El Salvador to loot a soft drink truck as part of its agitation and propaganda actions in the district.
On April 10, 1991, the PCP-SL tried to incite the population of Villa El Salvador to loot a truck distributing soft drinks. This event was part of the agitation and propaganda actions that the PCP-SL carried out in the district between 1989 and 1992. These actions included the interception of trucks and the distribution of foodstuffs among the population, as had happened previously in January 1991 with a vegetable oil truck. The objective was to dispute the hegemony of the left in the district and to demonstrate the supposed futility of their peaceful option for social change.
