PCP-SL kills 36 villagers during religious service in Ccano evangelical church
A large contingent of PCP-Sendero Luminoso members murdered 36 villagers while they were worshiping in the community's Evangelical Pentecostal Church. The attackers continued killing, beating with clubs and shooting with guns. According to survivor testimony, the attackers said 'we are going to finish off these miserable dogs, we are going to turn them into ashes', finishing off the dying wounded and burning them.
