President Alberto Fujimori Fujimori, in a message to the nation, shows fragments of one of the videos seized from the leadership of the PCP-SL. The videos had been seized on January 31, 1991 by the GEIN when they raided a house in the district of San Borja (Lima), where they found the famous videos of the PCP-SL leadership dancing to 'Zorba, the Greek'. In his message, the president states that, as a product of 'the new anti-subversive policy, the National Intelligence Services, in coordination with the Armed and Police Forces, will manage to capture terrorist leaders [sic]'. This presidential message was part of the government's strategy to show progress in the counter-subversive fight.
