PCP-SL's Attempt to Dominate the XVI Congress of the FEP
In 1978, during the XVI Congress of the FEP in Cuzco, the PCP-SL, allied with Pukallaqta and the FER-Antifascista, attempted to dominate the Congress. They faced opposition from Patria Roja and were ultimately defeated, leading to their withdrawal. This event marked a significant moment in the political struggles within Peruvian universities.
Durante el XVI Congreso de la FEP realizado en 1978 en el Cuzco, el PCP-SL, en alianza con Pukallaqta y el FER-Antifascista, intentó dominar el congreso enfrentándose a la organización Patria Roja. Esta fue la última aparición de la Junta Directiva de la FUSCH controlada por el PCP-SL. Tras ser derrotados en este intento, los militantes del PCP-SL se retiraron del congreso.
