MRTA assassinated professor and published blacklist with 44 names
Professor Roberto Aguirre Palomino was assassinated. The MRTA claimed responsibility for this assassination as a response to the death of Professor Luis Aguilar. On October 19, the MRTA posted on the walls of the university a 'black list' with 44 names of professors and students identified as Shining Path members, threatening that 'for every criminal attack they commit inside the university, I'll take them out and ten of these wretches will die'.
