Student leaders disappeared after being identified at cultural event
Between September and October 1990 several students disappeared, among them Alcides Ccopa Taipe and Francisco Fernandez Galvez, well-known anthropology student leaders. Both had been present at the presentation of Martina Portocarrero in August or September, an event that was apparently used by intelligence to identify leaders. Two months after that event they disappeared without a trace.
