Convention on the rights of the child adopted by Peru
Peru approved the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child through Legislative Resolution 25 278 of August 3, 1990, published the following day in the Official Gazette El Peruano.
The Peruvian State approved the Convention on the Rights of the Child through Legislative Resolution 25 278 dated August 3, 1990. This convention was adopted by the UN in 1989 and represents an international instrument for the protection of human rights specifically oriented to children. The resolution was published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on August 4, 1990. This approval is part of the set of international human rights treaties ratified by Peru which, according to the Constitution, have hermeneutic value to interpret fundamental rights.
