Murder of Ciro Aramburú

Ciro Aramburú, head of University Welfare at UNSCH, was assassinated on July 24, 1990 by paramilitary commandos in Huamanga. His death is part of the systematic violence against the university community in Ayacucho.

Ciro Aramburú, head of University Welfare at the San Cristóbal de Huamanga National University (UNSCH), was murdered on July 24, 1990. His death occurred in the context of a wave of violence against members of the university community in Huamanga. The murder was perpetrated by paramilitary commandos operating in the city. This crime was part of a series of systematic attacks against teachers, students and workers of the UNSCH during the period 1989-1991, when the university was a privileged space for violence.
