A woman was raped by members of the Peruvian Navy in the town of Cayas Chico, district of Huancayo. The victim later reported that she became pregnant as a result of the rape. In her testimony, she stated: 'it must have happened during the rape that the marines raped me in Tambo'. The events took place in the context of military operations in the area during the internal armed conflict.
