Kidnapping and execution of Vice Rector Jaime Cerrón Palomino

Academic vice-chancellor and his driver were kidnapped, tortured and executed

The academic vice-rector of UNCP, Jaime Cerrón Palomino, was kidnapped as he left his home on June 9 along with his driver Armando Tapia Gutiérrez. Their bodies were found on June 17 in the district of Sincos, approximately 20 km north of Huancayo. They were found with their limbs severed, a bullet in their heads and signs of having been badly beaten.
